The opening chapter of this book grew directly out of part of the story I abandoned when writing Rake with a Frozen Heart, but aside from the Regency setting, the similarities end there. Deborah and Elliot are both rebels. This is Regency with a twist, sensual, dark and funny, a story of two subversive and strong-willed characters determined to live outside society on their own terms.
