I have been very quiet of late, but if you follow me over on Instagram you’ll know it’s because I’ve been very busy. My first ever writing retreat with five other authors in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales helped me to finish my last book of 2023. Uncovering the Governess’s Secrets is a dark, Gothic Victorian romance set mostly in Edinburgh, and it will be out next year.
Now I’m taking some time out to be with my family, get a little sewing and decorating done, and do a lot of thinking. I have a stack of ideas for writing and for this website, so there will be a lot more from me coming soon.
In the meantime, a HUGE thank you to everyone for reading my books, for sharing your thoughts, and for keeping me going and keeping me company on social media, it is much appreciated. This is not a happy time of year for everyone, and there’s so much tragedy in the news too, but whatever you do to celebrate, or if you prefer to hide away from it all (with a book or two) I wish you peace and happiness. See you in 2024.

Ooh a dark Gothic romance – that ticks a box.
Good to hear! Happy holidays x
Do you know where I can buy “From Cinderella to Marchioness?” I can’t seem to find it on Amazon. Thanks!
Hi Janet, it’s actually a free read available on the Harlequin website. You do have to register to read it, but there’s no charge and once you are registered you get access to lots of free reads. You can find the link on my ‘free reads’ page here:

Thank you.
